August 23, 2022 - Following a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring NKU administrators and officials from Verst Group Logistics, the Haile College of Business at Northern Kentucky University officially opened the Verst Group Logistics Hub of Supply Chain Excellence.
The hub, founded through the partnership and generosity of Paul Verst and Verst Group Logistics, will be equipped to serve as the heart of the Global Supply Chain Management program at NKU. It will allow students and alumni the opportunity to connect and engage with businesses and affiliated groups within this growing field.
“As we enter the sixth year of offering an AACSB-accredited degree in global supply chain management, we are very pleased to celebrate this collaboration space that will bring further value to our students and business partners to better meet the needs of this booming in-demand sector for our region,” Mark Thackeray, NKU professor and program director, said.
A key aspect of the Verst Group Logistics Hub of Supply Chain Excellence is providing students with experiential learning opportunities through client-based capstone projects, internships, and industry tours. It also features an innovative and interactive mural showcasing the history of the supply chain.
The hub will also offer guests speakers, roundtable sessions, conferences, emerging tech demonstrations, a job posting kiosk, reference library, student huddle areas and interview spaces. It will also serve as the home of the newly formed student chapter of the Association of Supply Chain Management (ASCM).
